Is it ok to use a fabric shower curtain as a living room curtain?

YES, they make excellent curtains and are less expensive and wash like a dream, the only drawback is most are 5 feet long so on windows that are huge they will be too short.

Some shower curtain prints look tacky in other places, especially if they’re plastic! If the pattern matchs you’re room, and isn’t plastic, hten go for it!!

Yeah they are good to use, my mom has them up in our living room. They only bad thing is, when you cut them they fray really bad. We didn’t take the time to sew them up at the seams, but they do wash up great.

One nice way to re-purpose a good fabric shower curtain would be to update the design. For instance, if you put large grommets at the top of the curtain that match a bold decorative curtin rod you can create an up to date look for a window treatment. There are lots of other options available such as metal or wooden rings or you can make a cornice box to cover the top of the curtain. Use your creativity and have fun.
