How to take a shower 101

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

If you’re feeling dirty than this is the post for you. I am going to give you some simple instructions for taking a shower in your bathroom.

Here are some simple instructions on exactly how to take a shower.

1. Go into your shower room, lock the door, and make sure you have everything you will need including soap, shampoo, a shower curtain hung up, and whatever else you feel is necessary.
2. Turn the water on, and adjust the hot and cold water to a comfortable temperature. Be sure to test the temperature before you get in. When it’s at the temperature you want, pull on the shower plug and the should begin to come from the shower head.
3. Remove your clothes and put them into the dirty clothes hamper if you have one. If not, simply put them in a pile near your door, you aren’t going to wear them before the next washing.
4. Carefully step into the shower without slipping or falling.
5. Enjoy the water for a minute; be sure to get all parts of you wet.
6. Rinse your body and shampoo your hair. It is also recommended to condition your hair to remove loose ends. Read the back of your conditioner bottle and leave the conditioner in your hair for the amount of time listed (usually 1-2 minutes). When you’re done, rinse it thoroughly.
7. Run the washcloth under the water while you’re waiting. Put some soap on it and wash all over your body.Make sure to lather over, under and around all body parts including your arm pits and between your toes.
8. Rinse the soap off as well as the conditioner (If you haven’t done so already)
9, Lather some shower gel or soap in your hand or on a wash cloth. Lather it all over. It gives a fresh clean tingling feeling.
10. Rinse everything off.
11. Push the shower plug down so the water stops coming out of the shower head and then shut off the water.
12. Carefully get out of the shower and dry yourself off with a towel. Some people use two towels, one for their hair and one for their body.
13. Finish drying off.
14. Apply any further beauty products or lotions, and shave (the warm water helps loosen and lift hair follicles).
15. Dress and go about your day.

Why you need a bathroom shower curtain

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

There are dozens of important reasons any person needs a bathroom shower curtain. Safety and cleanliness are just a few of the most important reasons. A shower curtain hanging in your bathroom will keep water coming from your shower head locked into just the bath tub or shower keeping your floors from becoming wet and slipery. This leads into another very important aspect, safety. Most bathroom floors are made up of tile, which can become very wet and slipery when wet. It’s very important to have some sort of curtain hanging in your bathroom at all times to keep water from landing on your bathroom floor. Did you know there are hundreds of accidents reported each year from families and friend’s slipping in their bathroom? Don’t be one of those numbers, always have a shower curtain hanging in your bathroom!
